| About SOACT |
SOACT is an independent, nonprofit organization that relies on help from animal lovers and public for all its activities. It is not supported by any grants or funding by governments. We seek your kind and esteemed support monetary and / or otherwise at this juncture to help us care for the needy animals and thus improve the health of the community at large. We thank you for taking time to consider this request.
The primary aim of SOACT is to work with the community, the Government, leaders with vision, NGOs, etc. to bring a set of long term solutions to reach a manageable balance leading to a win-win situation for the society and the stray population. This is of paramount importance to the health of the society as unattended, ill-treated and careless disposition of dead animals can lead to an increased number of infectious and other illnesses to the humans. |

| Our Goals and Objectives |
- Participation (education of public) in Animal Birth Control program as this is the humane way of controlling the population of community animals like dogs and cats. Reduction of population would mean a safer and healthy environment for people in the long run.
- Participation in intensive adoption program for community dogs and cats. Find good homes for them so that they are off the streets. Encourage people to be responsible towards their pets.
- Participation in housing the old and challenged community dogs and cats in special animal shelters so that they are not in danger on the streets.
- Participation in creating a crematorium for animals that have passed away. This could facilitate hygienic way of disposing carcasses thus safeguarding the health of humans and animals.
- Participation in rural animal health camps to encourage wide spread knowledge on humane treatment of animals.
